Khalsa College of Veterinary and Animal Sciences, Amritsar (KCVAS), in collaboration with Punjab State Veterinary Council (PSVC) organized a three day training course for select 30 Veterinary Officers (VOs), recently recruited by Animal Husbandry Department, Govt. of Punjab. Dr. SD Bhardwaj and Dr. Harjinder Singh, experts from Animal Husbandry Department and Dr. SB Bakshi, Dr. Shruti Chhibber, Dr. Sheikh Uzma, Dr. Pragya Joshi, Dr. Anjali Kumari and Dr. Sadhana Ohja experts from KCVAS delivered their lectures on various aspects of veterinary jurisprudence.
Principals KCVAS Dr. PK Kapoor said that thorough discussions were held on various vetro-legal problems faced by field veterinarians. Dr. SK Nagpal, Managing Director, KCVAS while inaugurating the training appreciated the efforts of PSVC for continuously uplifting the knowledge of field veterinarians through such training programs Dr. Sarabjit Singh Randhawa, President, PSVC said the aim was the betterment of the veterinary profession in the state. Dr. Kapoor, while presiding over the concluding function, thanked PSVC for selecting the College for the training, expressed that such trainings should be frequently organized. Dr. Kapoor along with Dr. BS Ghumman, Registrar, PSVC distributed certificates to the participating veterinarians. The efforts of Dr. NA Sudhan, Prof. & Head of Department, Veterinary Medicine and Dr. TP Saini, Member PSVC were appreciated for making the event successful. Dr. SS Dhillon meanwhile conducted the stage deliberation of the training.
